Good News, Ka-DepEd!

In line with President Bongbong Marcos’ directive to make early childhood education more accessible, the Department of Education (DepEd) has officially expanded the cut-off age for Kindergarten enrollment.

This is part of the government’s commitment to quality basic education under the Bagong Pilipinas vision, where more classrooms are opened to welcome our youngest learners. With this updated policy, more children across the country will now have the opportunity to start their educational journey at the right time—regardless of minor age differences.

The new guidelines are outlined in DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2025. This issuance ensures that the Kindergarten program becomes more inclusive and responsive to the needs of Filipino families, especially those with children eager to begin learning.

For full details, read DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2025.
Let’s continue working together to give every child a strong start in education.

Education for all, the Filipino way—Padayon, Ka-DepEd!
